Electrical Repair — Frequently Asked Questions
Are you actually licensed for electrical work?
Yes. We hold Washington State electrical contractor, administrator, and journeyman licenses, and every number is on this site for you to look up at L&I. That matters more than it sounds: plenty of HVAC companies subcontract their electrical work, which is why an HVAC job that turns out to need a circuit becomes two companies and two schedules.
Why does my breaker keep tripping?
A breaker that trips is doing its job — the question is what it is protecting against. The common causes are an overloaded circuit, a failing appliance, a ground fault, or a breaker that has weakened with age. Repeatedly resetting it without finding the cause is the one response worth avoiding.
Is whole-home surge protection worth it?
For most homes here, yes. A modern house has far more electronics in it than the wiring was designed around, and a heat pump, an EV charger, and a smart thermostat are all surge-sensitive. It is a modest one-time cost against a failure mode that takes several appliances at once.
